Some Chinook are still being caught

“Summer” Chinook (actually an early variant of the fall run) are present in Nehalem Bay. Fishing has been slow to fair with sporadic bites, but some Chinook are still being caught. Fish are present throughout the bay with catches reported at the mouth, Wheeler, and the County ramp area below Hwy 101. Fishing effort picked up this week, but the catch remains slow.
ATTNTION: The Nehalem River is closed to all fishing upstream from the Miami-Foley Bridge including all tributaries from July 1 – Sept. 30. The Nehalem River and Bay from mouth to the Miami-Foley Bridge remains open under normal regulations.
The North Fork Nehalem upstream from head of tide is closed to fishing from 2 p.m. to one hour before sunrise from July 1-Sept. 30.

Galesville Reservoir: Galesville is very low this year
Lake Selmac: Trout anglers will want to fish near the dam and off the bottom
Rogue River- Lower: Numerous summer steelhead are being caught
Rogue River- Upper: The Hatchery Hole is Currently Closed to All Fishing
Rogue River- Upper (Above Lost Creek): This is always an excellent destination to escape the Rogue Valley heat
