The Smith is open for Chinook fishing up the head of tide at Spencer Cr. Most Chinook have likely moved upriver to spawn, but there may be a few left around. Anglers are reminded that only 1 wild adult Chinook may be kept per day and five for the year. The Smith is closed above Spencer Creek until winter steelhead season starts in December.

The Smith sees only light pressure for most of the season and can provide a great experience for anglers looking to get away from the crowds.
