Access to the lake is open. The concrete boat launch is in the water and launching a boat is achievable. Water clarity is excellent. Only boats with a 10-horsepower motor or less are allowed on Cataract Lake. There is an algae bloom on the lake which can impact fishing success. Try fishing with the wind at your back, the wind will push the algae away from where you are fishing and the water quality is often better on the shoreline the wind is blowing away from.
