Winter steelhead are throughout the Alsea system. The popular NF Alsea fishery is open and improving. This fishery has been improving the past two weeks and with the recent rain has picked up.

The later returning wild broodstock fish are being caught in the NF Alsea. Boat and bank fishing has been fair over the past week. Wild and hatchery steelhead have been caught and conditions have improved. With more winter rains this coming week we should see conditions improving going into the weekend.

Trout fishing will reopen on May 22.
